We drove almost 2 hours from Fripp Island to get there and it was worth it. This was our first time kayaking for me my wife and my two boys and we had an awesome time, Michael was very good, very thorough in his explanations about what to do and not to do, he actually was very gracious and funny handling all the questions my excited kids had. the kayaks were in excellent shape. We paddled for like 30 minutes to a very small island at the coast line, grabbed some shells, took pictures and enjoyed the beach, lots of sea birds. Google maps took us straight to the place, prices are reasonable for a 3-hour experience. Once we were done we ask Mike for places to eat and he gave us a great recommendation at the Edisto town, food there was excellent. Great trip !!!
Only negative thing about the trip was that he did not provide watermelon!
First off, let me give some credit to captain Mike, the guy made me his honorary first mate which positively made my day. He gave me a tour of the empty house right by the landing, fixed the dock, and let me press all the buttons during the trip. Once we got to shell island I collected shells until I could simply collect no more, then captain Mike told me the story of how Peter Frampton inlet came to be, which was fascinating
Decent outing on the kayak. Timing is coordinated with the tides to make the paddling easier. Calm paddle up the River to the ocean, then back. You can explore Shell Island as long as you want.

Very beautiful place to visit. The two hours on the beach flew by because there was so much to look at and look for. Mike was very friendly and brought us a refreshing treat for the ride back.
