We have rented two different beach-front homes over the years and have never been disappointed. Both homes were clean and available as promised.
We rented at Edisto from Atwood Vacations in the 1990's when our children were young, and now that our girls have children of their own they wanted to share the Edisto experience with their families. So now we are renting from Atwood again. For the past 2 years we have rented a beautiful home called Casa del Sol for 1 week in July. We have found the home to be clean and well maintained. We have enjoyed the home at Edisto near the beach so much that we are returning for another week in 2018!
My family has been renting beach houses from Atwood for more than 50 years. When I was a little girl, my grandmother rented the houses, then my father did, and now it is my turn. Atwood's customer service is excellent. This year, we are staying at Sunrise Sunset and are loving it. When we arrived, we discovered a problem with the sheets. Atwood addressed the problem promptly. I can't say enough good things about this agency. It is my hope and expectation that we will be renting from them for decades to come.
Edisto Beach is a great place to go if you like a quiet and peaceful vacation, yet there are still activities to do and fine restaurants. It is off the beaten path so it is not as commercialized - no high rises or stop lights, it's great! Atwood Vacations was always helpful and staff very friendly. We stayed one month last year inside Ocean Ridge and this year stayed two months. I was impressed how much cleanup work had been completed after the devastation of Hurricane Matthew. There is also a great, friendly little Baptist Church on the Beach which we attended regularly. Planning on returning in 2018 and counting the days.
