The Filet & Ribeye are AMAZING! Staff is super friendly & prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you're getting! Would recommend any day, any time!

My wife's family has a place on Edisto Island, so trips this way are fairly common. If you add to that the fact that we are a little spoiled by the multitude of delicious options all tightly placed in our hometown of Athens Georgia, I hope a little credibility comes into play when you read this.

Always a special place to visit

- The food was really good. We both enjoyed every bit of it.

- The Owner/Operator took my call for a reservation, greeted us at the door by name, and checked on us enough to know he cared... But not so much as to be overbearing.

We made reservations and when we arrived, our ice water and bread and butter were already at our table waiting for us! Waitress Vicki , was so nice and clear on the specials and the way they were prepared. Our meals were exactly as ordered and delicious! We would definitely recommend and visit again when in the area!

Long story short, not only would we go back but my wife and I would recommend the Old Post Office to anyone looking for a nice place to eat out while on Edisto Island. We will absolutely be back.

- Our service was prompt, the server was warm and helpful without seeming like she was reciting a script. We never had a need that wasn't addressed before it arose, and we never had an empty plate sit for more than thirty seconds before it was removed.

- We ordered two glasses of wine, an appetizer (fried oyster cocktail), two entrees (daily special and Shrimp-Scallops & Grits), and dessert (Blueberry Cobbler.) All told it was around $120 with the tip, worth it, but be prepared for that.

- I called in our reservation at 2:00, and when we arrived at 6:15 our table was waiting (complete with water and bread).

That said, we would definitely recommend you try Old Post Office. For the two of us, out for an anniversary date delayed by our five month old daughter, this was ideal.

First of all, the saying dont judge a book by its cover applies here. Once you step inside tbe ambiance is nostalgic and very authentic. My server vicki was amazing and had exceptional knowledge of the menu and offered amazing suggestions. I had a party of six, we were seated immediately. But i strongly suggest reservations. The food was very good as well. Vicki even made my kids happy with the Edisto rocks. And to finish it off the to go containers were for shaped sea , land and ocean creatures.
