The food MIGHT be edible but the customer service is atrocious! The clerk answering the phone said she couldn't tell me which toppings were on the specialty pizzas because they were slammed. We entered the place 5 minutes later & there was one family eating & one leaving with a take out 2 pizza order! After ordering, we got the brewed tea & it was disgusting & old (probably from the previous day) & we were told to just get something else. We were overcharged & same clerk unapologetically expected us to pay the full amount even though there was no accounting for the "extra" $5 charge. The calzone coming out for the other customers was so brown it was almost burnt. There was nothing "Italian" about the aroma there. The entire place was dirty & nasty. The only good thing about this place is we decided to get our money back & go somewhere else. The attitudes of the clerks was nothing short of disrespectful. Do yourself a favor & go where the food & service are acceptable!
So few restaurants to choose from in Edisto, but this place narrows those options.
Pizza was pretty good! Went in kind of the off season for the island, so we needed some food and this hit the spot.
Great pizza, wonderful owners. We had a great time talking to them and learning about their life's journey. Nothing beats the quality and care one can experience at small mom and pop shops. Highly recommend it.
We started calling at 8:15 and it kept giving a recording saying they were not taking any calls. We decided to drive up there so we could place an order. We arrived at 8:30 and were told it was too late to order. One even told us we should have ordered earlier because they close at 9. This all happened while one worker was on the phone taking an order. We have a house here and come almost every weekend in the summer. Needless to say we will never order from this place. The other pizza place gladly took our order and it was ready in 25 minutes.
We've been coming to Edisto for over a decade and always loved eating Bucks Pizza. It's been about 2 years since we've been here and discovered that the pizza place had changed names. I figured , its probably the same pizza... just a different name. WRONG!! It waa just "ok". The crust was soggy, the cheese was weird, way too much sauce.... etc.... I'm sorry I can't give them a better rating.
