This grocery store was the old Piggly Wiggly. The workers here seem great! But the prices are not great and the selection leaves a lot to be desired. The building has not been improved and is small enough to make the aisles cramped. Not a great shopping experience.
We go to Edisto Beach several times a year because we live just 45 miles away. We stop at the Bi-Lo there almost every time we are there. It is well stocked, clean, an the employees are friendly and helpful. The have a small hot bar with several items that are always delicious. You can get all kinds of things from camping and fishing supplies to steaks for grilling.
The folks working there are phenomenal! For the amount of shelf space and cooler/freezer space available, the diversity of the products offered is clearly an attempt to take full advantage of its customers, since it's the only grocery store within 35 miles. I would attempt to take advantage of its location by making it a flag store. It would be an open invitation to regular customers of competing chains to give BiLo a visit in their hometown.
Interesting little grocery store, found everything we needed for our short vacation. Made life easier.
Good selection of food and drinks, reasonably priced, good service. Very crowded because it's the only grocery store in the area, but people, both vacationers and employees are super friendly, so just go with the flow and enjoy yourself. Others complain about prices and quality, but fail to take into consideration the fact that real estate costs and population fluctuations affect both prices and what a store can provide while turning a profit. They are doing a great job within their constraints
